
King Von was actually Dayvon Daquan Bennett. King Von was born in Chicago on the 9th of August 1994, to Walter and Taesha. From his mother, he had three siblings, while from his father , he was blessed with six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly raised by his mom due to the frequent times his father was in prison. His father was killed and taken to the hospital when Bennett was only 11. Bennett went on to spend his 16th year being in jail. This was the beginning of his encounters with police. He was awarded college credit through South Suburban College. Bennett attempted to rehabilitate himself in the wake of more legal issues. After his collaboration together with Lil Durk, Bennett released "Welcome to O'Block" which was his sole album. The album that was posthumously titled "What It Means to Be King" was published in March 2022.
