Carice van Hutten an actress who rose to the heights of fame and fortune. Carice was born in Leiderdorp South Holland Netherlands, on the 5th of September 1976. R&B performer whose version of The Prince song I Feel for You was hugely popular. I Feel for You, the hit track by Rufus Frontwoman, is also widely recognized as a success. She's also frontwoman of Rufus. Khan was born Catholic. She was educated at the Hyde Park Saint Thomas the Apostle Church Primary School. Her mother was the first to introduce her to music when she was a young child. Khan discovered a love for rhythm and Blues as an early teen. The first time she formed a girl group, called the Crystalettes aged 11 with Taka. The late 1960s saw the formation of the Crystalettes. Khan attended several demonstrations in support of civil rights. She was together with her father's wife Connie an avid fan of the movement. She also became a member of the Black Panther Party after befriending one of the members and activist Chicago native Fred Hampton in 1967. Although many claim that Khan was named Chaka as she joined the Panthers but she says her name was given by Yoruba Baba gave her the name Chaka Adunne Aduffe Karifi at the age of thirteen. She left the Panthers in 1969 and quit high school after attending Calumet High School, and Kenwood High School. (Now Kenwood Academy). The first time she performed was in Chicago with small groups, including her boyfriend Hassan Khan. Chaka and Hassan were married in the year 1971.
